Use USB Capture DVI Plus to capture composite (CVBS) video

USB Capture DVI Plus can capture analogue composite (CVBS) video without audio via a DVI-I to HDMI + Component breakout cable and capture analogue audio via the Line In interface. 1Connect devices Connect the included DVI-I to HDMI + Component breakout cable to the DVI interface of USB Capture DVI Plus. Connect the yellow composite cable to the green input socket of the breakout cable. Connect USB Capture DVI Plus to the computer. Connect the analogue audio to the Line In interface of USB Capture DVI Plus. 2Configure the capture device Make sure that the firmware version is 2.5.6447 or above. In the Input tab page of USB Capture Utility V3, clear the Auto Scan check box of Video Input, and then select Composite input 0 in the Video Input drop-down menu. Composite video cannot be automatically detected by USB Capture DVI Plus because it shares the same connection as is used for component video, and the two kinds of video are too similar in format. So you have to manually select the video input.

How to check the hardware version of Magewell product

Pro Capture Family, Eco Capture Family Method Ⅰ: Through device appearance The hardware version is printed on the PCB board. The format is REV-X(letter)X(number). For example, REV-A1. Method Ⅱ: Through driver panel (for Windows) Call the driver panel of capture card. Enter the Info tab page to view the Hardware version. Method Ⅲ: Through command line (for Linux) Run the following command in the Terminal to view the device information. For Pro Capture card, run: mwcap-info -i For Eco Capture card, run: mweco-info -i Under Device, view the Hardware version. USB Capture (Plus) Family Method Ⅰ: Through device appearance Check for the product serial number (S/N) at the back of your capture device. The first letter of the serial number stands for the hardware version. Method Ⅱ: Through USB Capture Utility Open USB Capture Utility V3. Enter the Info tab page to view the Hardware version. Pro Convert Family Log in Pro Convert Web UI. Enter the Dashboard tab page, and then view the Hardware version under the Pro Convert category.

How to check SDK version

SDK V3 under C:\Windows\System32, right-click the LibMWCapture.dll file and then click Properties. In the LibMWCapture.dll Properties dialog box, click Details and then view the File version. SDK V2 under C:\Windows\System32, right-click the LibXIStream2.dll file and then click Properties. In the LibXIStream2.dll Properties dialog box, click Details and then view the File version.

Minimum bandwidth requirements for multi-channel video capture

When multiple channels of video are being captured with Magewell capture device, it is necessary to ensure that the transmission bandwidths of the capture devices and the computer's bus (PCIe or USB bus) are sufficient for the total data of multi-channel video streams; otherwise, frame drop will occur. The maximum transmission bandwidths of PCIe interface and USB interface are: PCIe x1 Gen 2: ~400MB/s PCIe x4 Gen 2: ~1600MB/s Note: Although Pro Capture HDMI 4K, Pro Capture AIO 4K, and Pro Capture DVI 4K Capture cards use the PCIe x4 Gen 2 interfaces, their actual transmission bandwidths are only ~1200MB/s. Will the recorded file be damaged if the input signal is lost during recording?

Pro Capture HDMI 4K Plus, Pro Capture HDMI 4K Plus LT, Pro Capture Dual HDMI 4K Plus LT and Pro Capture AIO 4K Plus support 1080p240Hz video input and capturing. USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus supports 1080p240Hz video input. However, due to the bandwidth limitation of USB 3.0, this product does not support 1080p240Hz video capturing.

Do Magewell products support HANC/VANC data extraction?
