Q1: What is the multi-channel encoding capability of Director Plus?

A: Director Plus allows you to configure multiple encoding schemes with different resolutions, frame rates, and bitrates. All encoding schemes can be flexibly assigned to live streaming, recording, and replay. The same encoding scheme can be used simultaneously for streaming, recording, and replay without consuming additional encoding resources. Lower resolutions and frame rates require fewer encoding resources, allowing more concurrent encoding tasks.


Q2: How does enabling NDI streaming affect the encoding capability for other services?

A: NDI streaming uses dedicated encoding schemes. When NDI streaming is enabled, the encoding resources available for live streaming, recording, and replay will be reduced accordingly. 


Q3: What are the typical encoding combinations for different show quality levels?

A: Director Plus supports three show quality levels: 2160p (4K), 1440p, and 1080p. Typical encoding combinations for each show quality level are shown below. A maximum of 12 encoding tasks can run concurrently (4 streams, 4 recordings, 4 replays).

Note: The combinations below assume ideal operating conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on system load and operating conditions.
