Magewell at IBC 2026

Building upon the rich input flexibility and extensive feature set of earlier Director models, Director Plus brings 4K production and enhanced network capabilities to Magewell’s Director family of portable, all-in-one production and presentation systems. This new model can flexibly ingest up to six 4Kp60 sources or sixteen 1080p60 sources from HDMI, USB, and IP feeds, along with media assets from connected devices and third-party software platforms. Combining powerful streaming with flexible source integration, Director Plus enables creators and production teams to build hybrid or full-IP workflows.

The Pro Convert IP to AIO 4K Module brings IP-to-12G SDI decoding to centralized rack deployments. Designed for use in the Magewell Modator 2U chassis, this module provides the same core decoding capabilities as the standalone version while enabling a higher-density installation for greater space efficiency. When used with the enhanced Control Hub management software interface, introduced earlier this year, a new preview function allows easy video monitoring in the web UI and via Control Hub. More addtions will make their IBC debut.

Magewell adds support for NDI 6.3 and the Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) protocol in its latest firmware update for Ultra Encode HDMI Plus, Ultra Encode SDI Plus and Ultra Encode AIO. The update to NDI 6.3 makes the encoders discoverable within NDI Tools for easy monitoring and control. Meanwhile, the integration of RIST enables reliable MPEG-TS transport over UDP and seamless compatibility with existing MPEG-TS workflows.

The latest version of the Control Hub centralized management software features an enhanced user interface to easily accommodate large deployments with multiple Modator rackmount frames. The Modator platform brings the reliability and extensive functionality of Magewell’s standalone encoding and decoding devices to a scalable, high-density form factor, with each Modator 2U chassis hosting up to 10 hot-swappable modules.
